All Scripture Reference are KJV

Study to shew thyself approved unto God,
a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth.

2 Timothy 2:15

What is Scripture Meditation?

All men’s miseries derive from not being able to sit in a quiet room alone.

Blaise Pascal (1623-1662) French Mathematician, Physicist, Christian

It means to think, muse, ruminate, ponder, contemplate, mull or think over; to quietly consider what you have read. Think about it, turn it over in your mind, look at it from all angles, put it into context, etc.

Psalms 63:6 When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.

Psalms 77:12 I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings.

Psalms 143:5 I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands.

Malachi 3:16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

We should devote a large segment of out brain power engaged in meditating upon God’s word.
